When my hair was short and stuck in the back, then I'll always Matrix Air Trix. It is to make it hard all day, and sometimes when I stayed overnight. It washes nice to drive, but it is very sticky when you first spray. Spray, then run your fingers through the hair in the direction you want to go to the edge and that's all.
My husband used putty VO5 hair wax stuff. It works very well for him!
